IMS Implementation Analyst- Capital Market (Misys Sophis) required for a large FI in Middle East


I am working on an assignment for a large FI based in Middle East which seeks to recruit an IMS Implementation Analyst- Capital Market (buy side) responsible for implementing and supporting a buy-side Capital Market system. This is a hands-on role and the individual will be responsible for enhancing and supporting the Misys Sophis system. The candidate would:

  1. Be primary support contact for all matters relating to the system
  2. Document workflow and dashboard configuration and apply this configuration
  3. Document, Monitor and support system batch processes
  4. Develop and maintain system interfaces: Bloomberg Data Licence (batch), Bloomberg Server API (real time), Omgeo CTM, MarkitSERV, Eagle STAR accounting platform
  5. Conduct front line testing prior to user testing

The ideal candidate would be a graduate with 7 years of IT experience of which at least 3 years would be in developing and supporting Misys Sophis.  They must have experience of  capital markets data requirements in terms of listed equities, corporate actions, STP for listed equities, OTC options. They also must have (for Misys Sophis)

§   Experience of the testing lifecycle and guiding business users from UAT through to production
§   Understanding of various business units and the trade order life cycle
§   Documenting Use Cases, Test Cases and Acceptance Criteria

Candidate should have technical knowledge of SQL/Oracle – ability to write complex queries against databases and understanding of importing and exporting data requirements for capital and derivatives risk systems
